Children of Chernobyl Ministries (CCM) has been in existence,
although in another form for eight years now. The program was initially
founded in 1993 as a ministry of the Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church.
Thanks to the generous donations of churches and individuals and the volunteer
efforts of many the program continues to gain momentum
CCM is also part of an ongoing national and international
effort to offer humanitarian aid the children of Chernobyl. We belong to a
national alliance called CCUSA (Chernobyl Children US Alliance). Approximately
1500 children were hosted in the summer of 2001 by over 30 projects across the
country.
